Our workshop allows members the opportunity to learn new skills and share their own.

Making items to sell to raise funds, or simply just working on individual craft or hobby projects is a great way to relax in the company of others.

It’s as much about socialising as anything else. Many of our members simply enjoy the company of others in a welcoming, open, atmosphere with the sound of the kettle being filled.

We also plan visits to museums and attractions, have the occassional meal out and occasionally arrange talks. We have had a fascinating talk by a member of the East Anglian Air Ambulance team and have made visits to Fransham Forge and Langham glass, as examples.

Dereham Men’s Shed regularly helps out in the community helping other charities and other worthy causes in and around Dereham.

A team has helped to erect About Dereham noticeboards, we constructed an outdoor book library for the Queen Mother’s Garden in town, and made a tag board for Dereham Park Run.
